Ethan began shooting ground-based photography twelve years ago in Lake Tahoe, California where he worked with the areas most sought after architects and builders. It was here that he honed his skills in anticipating and over-delivering for some of the most creatively discerning clients. Because of his expertise in both ground based and aerial arenas, clients have come to rely on Ethan as a one-stop solution.

Ethan was one of the first commercial photographers in Australia to use drones to capture certain types of architectural and aerial imagery. His broad experience creating aerial imagery from helicopters informs his approach to planning, photography and post production using drones. 

After ten years and thousands of images, Ethan realized that his favorite imagery was not only taken from helicopters, but also relevant beyond the commercial realm, and thus, a selection of images are now available for purchase as fine art prints. 

Ethan's passion for image-making from helicopters is reflected in his selections. In flight he can scan large areas assessing light and compositions, employing a mix of shots capturing broad strokes and small details, providing clients with an array of opportunities for storytelling in a manner impossible to achieve with a drone or from the ground. To Ethan, there is simply no substitute for being there, in the sky, seeing something wonderful and capturing it.
